The Environmental Policy of Universidad Nacional de Colombia was created by the University’s Higher Council under Agreement 016 of 2011.

Universidad Nacional de Colombia seeks to promote an environmentally healthy environment for the fulfillment of its educational mission, to protect its natural surroundings, to propose sustainable alternatives to solve the environmental problems that arise in its spaces, and to include the environmental dimension in the processes of teaching, research, extension, and administrative operation based on the principles of continuous improvement, pollution prevention, and compliance with applicable environmental legal requirements in force.
