The scope of the EMS defined by the National Technical Committee for Environmental Management comprises, first, the diagnosis of the environmental situation of the institution at the national level as well as the identification and evaluation of environmental aspects and impacts and, second, the formulation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of intervention programs and continuous improvement, in compliance with the current environmental legislation and regulations. This is applicable to all the campuses and units of the national level of the university.
